About Yong San
My name is Park Yong San, I am an unwilling participant in the biggest forgotten social experiment in modern times - called international adoption.
My Danish name is Charlotte Gullach - I am semihappy, semisuccesful and semidanish. I am and will never be totally integrated, but nobody knows that, but me. I have a small family scattered all over Europe and my biggest achievements are my two kids.
In the summer 1970 I was sent in exile to Denmark never to be able to return. My heritage was a deep and profound sorrow that to date make me cry. It marked my identity deeper than anything else and makes me search for answers.Â
I blame nobody and feel at times that adotive parents are just as much inbetween as we are. I hate nobody but feel it is my duty to improve the model and continuesly investigate and speak up. I am not a victem - but I am part of one big social denial construction.
I am ungrateful, unwilling and undanish. I look like a success but feel like a failure. I am still in Denmark, I stay with my kids but one day I will exile myself somewhere else in the world. You can see the more civilized Charlotte here (in Danish).
